SEMINAR 2025

An event dedicated to the in-depth study of planning and management techniques for urban tree populations, aimed at enhancing ecological and social benefits. Going beyond the traditional quantitative view, which associates more trees with increased benefits, the meeting promotes a qualitative perspective based on site- and species-specific criteria. This approach maximises ecosystem services and improves the resilience of cities in the face of future challenges, such as climate change.

 

Strategies for designing resilient green infrastructures and selecting tree species capable of adapting to complex urban contexts and ensuring lasting benefits will be explored during the event. Particular attention will be paid to the importance of accurate technical language and greater awareness in the selection of species, fostering harmony between urban needs and environmental sustainability.​

 

The meeting is addressed to planners, agronomists, foresters, urban planners and public administrators, offering a space for discussion and in-depth analysis to outline a new vision of the cities of the future, based on the integration between green infrastructure and urban needs.
