Un evento dedicato all’approfondimento delle tecniche di pianificazione e gestione delle popolazioni arboree urbane, mirato alla valorizzazione dei benefici ecologici e sociali. Superando la tradizionale visione quantitativa, che associa un maggior numero di alberi a un incremento dei benefici, l’incontro promuove una prospettiva qualitativa basata su criteri specifici per sito e specie. Questo approccio consente di massimizzare i servizi ecosistemici e migliorare la resilienza delle città di fronte alle sfide future, come i cambiamenti climatici.

Durante l’evento saranno esplorate strategie per progettare infrastrutture verdi resilienti e per selezionare specie arboree capaci di adattarsi a contesti urbani complessi, garantendo benefici duraturi. Particolare attenzione sarà dedicata all’importanza di un linguaggio tecnico accurato e a una maggiore consapevolezza nella scelta delle specie, favorendo un’armonia tra le esigenze urbane e la sostenibilità ambientale.

L’incontro si rivolge a progettisti, agronomi, forestali, urbanisti e amministratori pubblici, offrendo uno spazio di confronto e approfondimento per delineare una nuova visione delle città del futuro, fondata sull’integrazione tra infrastrutture verdi e necessità urbane.

An event dedicated to the in-depth study of planning and management techniques for urban tree populations, aimed at enhancing ecological and social benefits. Going beyond the traditional quantitative view, which associates more trees with increased benefits, the meeting promotes a qualitative perspective based on site- and species-specific criteria. This approach maximises ecosystem services and improves the resilience of cities in the face of future challenges, such as climate change.

Strategies for designing resilient green infrastructures and selecting tree species capable of adapting to complex urban contexts and ensuring lasting benefits will be explored during the event. Particular attention will be paid to the importance of accurate technical language and greater awareness in the selection of species, fostering harmony between urban needs and environmental sustainability.

The meeting is addressed to planners, agronomists, foresters, urban planners and public administrators, offering a space for discussion and in-depth analysis to outline a new vision of the cities of the future, based on the integration between green infrastructure and urban needs.
