MORNING ILLUSTRATED LECTURES -

Andy Sturgeon will talk about how to design a garden in an unfamiliar climate. Andy has designed gardens all over the world and in this lecture he will discuss how he approaches the design of projects in a foreign climate. He will include his thoughts on extremes of climate and associated issues such as drainage and suitability to the site.

Marco Scano - will be discussing his work in Sardinia and his study of using woody and mixed plant communities in order to achieve sustainable Mediterranean planting designs. He will talk about his approach to design and how this has changed in recent years.

AFTERNOON

WORKSHOP -

The attendees will be divided into groups to develop planting schemes based on the morning lectures. Each group will present their findings at the end of the day.
