Urban explorer. Community builder. Leader in design. Arthur Adeya’s passion for urban design permeates every aspect of his life. Through detailed urban sketches, Arthur reveals the invisible social bonds that intertwine in Nairobi’s urban tapestry. These insights feed his multifaceted career. With the KDI studio, he transforms underused spaces into vibrant "productive public spaces" together with local communities, thanks to his consolidated experience in urban and landscape design companies in the United States and Kenya.

 

At JKUAT University, he leads future landscape architects, enriching his lectures with experiences arising from his work on major development projects and the direction of accessible housing projects in Kenya. As the main partner at Lexicon + Ion, he combines his attention to detail, creativity and leadership with the overall vision of general planning, ensuring that each project reflects the unique rhythm of Nairobi and other urban contexts.
